If you haven’t been signed by an agency yet

If you haven’t yet signed with an agency, please don’t waste your money on a full portfolio with a professional photographer. All an agency needs to see is a clear headshot and a full-length photograph of you to determine whether or not to put you on their books.

We offer a quick start service priced at just £30.

We’ll take four photographs for you in natural light – two headshots and two full-lengths – add some cosmetic retouching (eg removing spots) and give you the photographs on CD. It’s all you need at this stage to start approaching agencies.

If you’ve already been signed by an agency

Once an agency has agreed to take you on, you still may not need a full portfolio. However, it may be that you need some shots to take with you to castings.

Again, beware how you spend your money. Ten shots in a studio with black and white backgrounds won’t cut the mustard – at this stage, you need to show the casting director your versatility. Say you have been invited to a casting for an outdoor pursuits company – a photograph of you jogging in sweat pants is going to be much more relevant than a run-of-the-mill studio shot.
